Welcome! What a beauty! F2-3? His origins might be easier to narrow down if we know what city and state you got him from...I hate to say this, but are you sure this was the seller's own cat, and not one that she found (or was stolen) or otherwise did not have permission to sell or rehome....I mention it because of the seller's reluctance to share at least his age and generation, amongst other info which strikes me as odd....it's possible that she was the original owner, but did not contact the breeder she got him from when she could no longer keep him (per most breeder contracts)...better to sort this out sooner than later....and thank you for taking him in!

Im live near green bay and appleton wi.. i did look around for lost cats as that thought crossed my mind after i had not heard back. I looked at humane societies and even back on CL incase. But i had not seen anything. If i cant find the origin it is fine i just had hopes :) he is about 1-2yrs my vet figures.

I'm glad you have already thought of those possiblities...and had him checked by your vet :)

Hopefully others will chime in with their own thoughts of where he might be from...he is very beautiful!

I'm assuming you had your vet scan him for a microchip when he had his checkup? If he has none, then I'm afraid the possibility of identifying him are pretty slim. One thing you could do is send his pic and what info you have to breeders in your area (WI, MI, IL, etc.) and see if anyone recognizes him. BTW, did the previous owner say why she was rehoming him?

No chip, but i was also told some chips can not be scanned but some machines depending on manufacturer. So without an idea of which company i also may never know. He was being rehomed due to not getting along with her other cats. My cat had passed away from old age months before so i do not know if this is true, but he plays with my dog so i couldnt imagen him not liking other cats.

I would have to agree with Patti. Check with Home Again for missing felines. I know my SV's are chipped and pic are with their profile. It wouldn't hurt. As for showing him. IDK maybe check with TICA. They are great at answering questions. It will not hurt sending an email to them and explaining your situation. Good Luck.
