Seems like too much weight for kitties neck. And is it a break away collar?

The weight of the collars are 3 ounces or less, depending on which material used. They are strictly for show, not to be used for restraining or leash walking. Easy to put on and off for their safety. My boys have had theirs on for 2 years now.
