Heartbroken after my experience with the local SPCA shelter

I think that all cats are products of their upbringing, if correctly socialized Bengals are fabulous pets just like Savannahs.

it is a myth that both breeds are "wild", people imagine that because of the exotic cat heritage the cat will always behave a little like a feral cat...and this is untrue. Both breeds are high energy interactive cat breeds, so you have to want that kind of kitty companion. You could also look for Egyptian Maus as from the picture, Porsche looked to have significant heritage of that breed. I think in personality they are a little more docile a cat breed, so maybe that is what you really want?

It definitely was one of my top 3, the mau... but I'm finding that they are the hardest to find around me, so if I decided on one, I would have to accept that it might be a very long wait. I guess I wasn't aware of *just* how important it was to find my new fur baby until this experience with the shelter, and I realized how much I miss that companionship.

It really has been a long time. I hope I find something soon... can you even imagine your life without cats? :paw:

I spent two years without a cat when I first came to this country (which will be 20 years this September), it was miserable. And was actually something that was an attraction to my now-husband, he had two cats and he adored them :)

Our last Himy passed away in October and we did not get Jammu until March. My coworkers breathed a sigh of relief when he came home....apparently I was rather psycho without a furbaby!
