I am not upset about her little swipe today. I just need to learn her limits. I never get upset at behavior. They are all individuals who have their own likes and dislikes. And this is the only way they can tell us of them.

Allerighty then. Today when I get home from work Ms Azidi and Ms Kilifi will be indroduced face to face. (with a kennel in between) And Zidi will be allowed out into the rest of the house. I have seen her at the door wanting to be let out. Now that she is more at ease, she needs some running room. She has a lot of pent up energy, and needs to expend it. She is a jumper when she plays, so needs room. Her friendliness has gotton much more intense the past day also. She no longer runs under the bed when I open the door and walk in. She struts around and meows. She still will not stand still for a pet until I shake the wand toy and get her attention. Then she head butts and body slams. I have seen her and Kiki at the door. Kiki likes to put her paws under the door, and Zidi like to bat them. Then Kiki attacks the door and Zidi growls. And it starts all over again. Paws, bat, attack, growl. Funny.

I will post what happens later when it happens. And I suppose I SHOULD have my camera ready for any photo possibilities. I am actually a little nervous...I don't want my girls hurting each other.

Cary,
Assuming it might take a few days for them to feel comfortable around each other, you might consider keeping Kilifi in Azidi's room for a few days and give Azidi a couple days to get to know the house. That puts Kilifi into Azidi's territory and vice versa and gives them a bit more time to absorb the aroma and existence of the other.

Yeah Deb, I thought of that. And I may do a combination. When I am home, Kiki in the kennel and Zidi running free. When I sleep, Kiki in the room. It was her room to start with so maybe that will show her she has not been banished form her room, and that she is still loved. ( She is feeling the "oh poor me's)

Sitting here with bated breath waiting to hear how it goes. Just realize, that once Azidi is out, you may not be able to get her back into that room.... ;)

Kilifi is being relatively good. Meowing a bit in the cage, but not too upset. Azidi Is very shy. comes out of her room for a few, hears a noise and runs back. She has made it out here to the family room but for only about 15 seconds. But during that time Kiki said nothing. just looked at her. So proud of her. SO FAR...

LOL, it may take her another two weeks to be comfortable coming out of the room, no matter how much she seems to beg for it when she's in there. Of course, if you shut her back in there again she may throw a temper tantrum

Damned if I do Damned if I don't LOL

Think of them as kids... Sometimes they ask for what they really don't want until they get it. Better things in life are worth waiting for and when he/she does get comfortable, it will be worth the wait.
