Cary, you are the one who is there seeing them day by day, so you are the best person to decide how to progress the relationship. You just stick with your intuition - we're just eager to hear the final outcome when it happens!

I know. I am too Patti. I want so much for them to be buddies. But I also wanna make sure Azidi knows I am her human too, and that this house is hers to prowl as she wishes. ALONG WITH Kilifi.

OK. Both girls went to the vet today. Both girls got claws trimmed. Both girls were not happy campers. Both girls home and seem to be not too upset.

Each one in their own carrier and one out at a time. Kilifi growled a lot, but didn't struggle too much. Azidi was a wild child. Very little speaking but lots of struggle. Glad the vet tech was a strong lady. Surprisingly, she resisted the rear claws more than the front. And no resistance when she got her ears treated. My Vet is elated to be working with Savannah cats. Mine are her first 2.

Azidi was aloof for about 10 min after we got home, but is back to her normal playful self. And I can rustle her around a little more and not worry about being slashed. We had a long play session and I gave her some chicken treats and she was a little lady. Still hissing at Kilifi but not any more than before.

If head butts and body slams are any indication ...Yes. And she stops in the middle of playing to be petted. I can rub her back feet...( NOT her front ones ) and scratch her neck, belly and chest. And as long as I let her call the shots, all is ok. No kisses yet though. scares her. I can pick her up as long as I don't try to restrain her. Coming along fine. I am very pleased. I feel she will soon give me a little lick. When she does, I know We will be fully connected.

Well, Ms Azidi tried to dart out the door this AM when I took her food in. I asked her if she REALLY wanted out since Kilifi was in the kitchen eating her food. Azidi looked down the hall, saw Kilifi and decided she would slowly walk back into her room. Kilifi did not even pay attention to all of this. This coming week I am on vacation, and I feel now it is time for the girls to work it out. I will, of course, watch carefully to be sure no real serious arguments ensue. Gut tells me they want to start interacting, and playing. BOTH are real active play girls. Wearing me out, for sure
