This girl is so very much my little love. She is close to me all the time...except when she feels like she has to run full speed from one end of the house to the other. Then she looks at me as if to say ..." what ?? It is a necessity dad." LOL

LOL.. I like those pics... Makes them look so innocent.... I know what you mean about running from one end of the house to the other... Last night Elsa after we went to bed (during her play time) she would run from on top of my chest all the way down the hall to the other end of the house and back... Look at me as if to say.. "What are you looking at!" and then go do it all over again... All the time with her tail puffed out to about 2 inches....

They sure are fun kids... Right now she is dropping her ball wanting me to throw it for her... You see, I am a well trained servant as you are as well...

(insert nasal whiney voice of a nag here) Caaaarrrry, where are the pics of Zidi & Kili in the house together? Progress update. Get on with it already. (and happy birthday, hope you're treating yourself to something nice)

I have NOT been able to get them in a place where I can even take a picture. They are still too explosive. When they don't turn into little Savanna.blur.cluster.of.fighting.cats then I will Deb. I promise. Azidi is just still too frightened. It is almost impossible to even get her out of her room. And since the 2 controlled meetings out of the room, it has not happened. Need to move real slow with this little girl. She is very smart and very frightened. I am hoping my bond with her will overcome her fear. I am still concerned it is too explosive to just turn them loose. Kilifi is insistent on chasing her.
I am treating myself to sweet quiet times with my 2 girls. Separately, of course.

Try out your abilities as an animal communicator. Sit quietly, deep breaths, and visualize your girls living together amicably -- envision them sitting or laying side by side. Then send that picture to each girl. Keep doing it for a few days. Especially do it when you are having snuggle/petting time with each girl. If you do this consistently for a week or so, I bet you'll see a difference in their attitudes toward each other.

My ulterior motive in encouraging you to do this is that it will also relax you and help rid you of subconscious fear/anxiety about their potential to cohabit or do each other harm. They pick up on cues that are subtle and undetectable to even ourselves. Try it, I promise you'll like it.

I love your suggestion Deborah, whether one believes in animal communication or not I think visualization is a great tool to help us attain our own goals and potential.

It is very possible that the girls are picking up on your anxieties Cary, but the more you put them together, the quicker they'll become accustomed to each other. Didn't you say at the second meeting where Kilifi was on a leash they were in the same room for about 1/2 hour? If you're not, you should be doing this every day at least once or twice a day. Meeting each other face to face once a week or once every few days will not gain any ground in them learning to live with, or love each other.
