Cool. So it IS something they do. I was hoping it was a realization on her part and not just a fluke. I agree, watching their minds work is fascinating. (Captain.) ;)

As Mr. Spock would say..."Interesting, Captain."

I was just in playing with Azidi. Bonding more. We were playing hot and fast and after a chase the birdie, there would be a head butt and long down the back pet. At one point, I believe she became a little overstimulated. ( She has a history of this ) As I was running my hand down her back, she turned and opened her mouth like she was gonna nip me. But she just stopped and looked at me., and I at her, and she turned back around. I of course praised her and patted her butt, (She does like that ) and went back to playing. She was more calmed and focused on playing. I think she realized she was about to bite the hand that loves her, and thought better of it.

But I found it interesting and thought I would share with my extended Savannah family.
That's amazing Cary! She really seems to be learning, and is clearly bonding with you

Allrighty. I went down to petsmart and got the girls each a little kitty bed. Kilifi's is black and brown spotted, vaguely like a Savannah, and Azidi's is dark brown and black striped/spotted. Coloring like Azidi. They are both the same size and shape and have a little ball hanging over the door. They were curious at first, bit have other things to do since I also got them some new toys.

Lucky (spoiled) kitties!! ;) I hope they like their beds! If you put Azidi's up on the shelf in the closet it may become her newest favorite place to hang out in.

So far, neither of them has decided to nap, sleep or even lay in them for any period of time. They seem to like to store their toys in them. Sigh

Well, at least they are using them for something.. LOL... Not like it is wasted space... You just gave them the opportunity to clean up after themselves.

Yes. My cats have 2 toy boxes - 1 upstairs and 1 below. Unfortunately, they only take toys out but never put them away. sigh.

ok. Got my clickers. Started "charging the clickers". Kilifi took about 8 click/treat sets to recognize that a click equals a treat. Azidi took about 12. She is a bit more nervous. Will try again later to be sure the associations took.
