Azidi looks like she's put on a bit of weight. And Kilifi looks her same silly self with those ratty ears ;)

I will check out revolution too.
I just verified that Revolution does treat ear mites.

I use Revolution and haven't had a problem.

I treated my dear Rosie with Advantage Plus high on the neck, yet she managed to lick it just once. She foamed at the mouth and had convulsions. Never had a problem with Advantage (no Plus).

As a very young kitten, she had vasculitus in which the blood supply to the edges of the ears was restricted and the edges died. Patti was able clear up the situation, but it left her ears scarred. But she is STILL my angel and I LOVE her "special" ears. :) We kiss her ears and tell her how much we love them ALL the time.

So sorry to hear that... I hate when an animal has to go through that... It has got to be painful to them... She is still a Very Beautiful Cat, and looks like she is doing very well now.

I find many times that I have more compassion for animals, than I do most people....

I think I'm getting swayed toward Revolution. The fact that Advantage Plus requires a vet prescription tells me that it inherently has more potential side effects and complications. If Revolution can do the same, and is safer to boot, it sounds like that is the way to go.

I use revolution on my 2 outside cats and it really works:up:.....they never had fleas or ear mites....it's expensive but worth it!

I may have to. My Azidi is just so skittish. Tonight she will have none of it. I don't want to force her. I like my blood IN my body.
Kilifi is an easy one. She complains but does not fight.

Yay! Moving in the right direction! One thing that has helped me medicate Zeddie is to tell her exactly what I am doing and why. Ie: shoving metronidazole down her throat to get rid of the diarrhea. Maybe that will help Zidi when you put drops in her ears? Be honest if you know it hurts, say it might sting for a second but it is to help with the mites. A lot of the times the fear is of the unknown. In the metronidazole case it didn't help much because it tastes terrible, but it helped a lot at the vet.
The first time Rafiki saw our vet, she squirmed and we could not get a blood draw. Dr. Sandy spoke to her about what we were doing and why we were doing it. She also informed Rafiki that she could stay all evening if that is what it took. Rafiki calmed down and let Sandy draw blood. I was impressed!

I think her ears are cute! A nice unique ruffled look.
I do look forward to the day that you post a picture of them TOGETHER.
