Paige, I've had her only 1 week. She was from Patti's breeders. I do not expect instant acceptance. She will come around in her own time. She is a beautiful cat though. Petite for a Savannah. :)
John, I do that 2 or 3 times a day. I will continue. Who knows...?

Eddies

Eddies a ham!
The sleeping/reading/playing etc... in there with a new "older" cat works! Mojo slept with my hubby after the first night; now he sleeps on his furbaby blanket (courtesy of his first owner) in the living room...he drags it around. Too bad she got a "under" to get under, it will make the process longer. Does she come out to play with the other cat? She may end up bonded to the cat instead of you... I NEVER left without turning on the TV or stereo for him, so we don't sound so LOUD when we come in. We also got the diffuser spoken of on a different post & WOW the difference (in 2 days) was amazing! Congratulations on the new SV!!!

And actually, I want her to be Kilifi's buddy. When I lost my DSH, Merlin, a month ago, Kilifi went into depression. She would walk down the hall crying like a baby. It freaked me out. There were times her eyes had tears in them when she wailed. I did not know that was possible. I decided she needed a friend and soon. So Azidi was chosen, mostly because her energy cried out at me. I hope I heard right.

No Eddies, she is so skittish she does not come out when I take Kilifi in. I do not let Kilifi have free run. I keep her on a leash so I can stop any possible catfight.

I was trying to shut Kilifi up. She sits at the door looking through the air grating and talks to her. I was hoping it would bring Azidi out a bit. I have only done it twice. Ya know...As a last resort sort of thing...
And no offense. :)

I would not do that Cary... It is just going to take time... So Eddies is correct about the reading /sleeping etc. I'm assuming Azidi is eating and drinking?

Welcome, Cary! Congrats on the new addition... she needs time to adjust and I know you don't think Kilifi has that patience but it will all work out :)

I will bow to those with the experience. No more Kilifi visits then. :) She will fuss, but I will stand my ground. ( Lord give me the strength to stand my ground.)
And yes , she is eating drinking and using the box. All with no problems. Well, she doesn't eat canned, but Patti said she didn't there either.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Merlin. They are never around long enough :(
