Azidi may never be a cuddler, but I'm convinced you will earn her trust in time, and you will share a special bond with her - it will likely be different than Kilifi, but that will make it all the more special.

I was just in with her Patti. We played with the wand toy, and she came out and stretched out on the floor while I was looking for one of her toys. She saw me open the cabinet in there ( More toys inside) and got real close to me wanting to get into the cabinet. she went in and looked and did NOT want to come out. Not wanting to pick her up and take her out, I had to entice her out with the wand toy. she is becoming more at ease around me. True, she may never be a cuddler, but she will be my friend and be at ease around me.

Azidi is getting really bold when playing with the wand toy. She will get it and smell my hand if I am holding the "birdie". She is chasing it and letting me touch her with the wand. Each day she is getting bolder. I went in and slept a bit on the bed in the room and she was all over on the floor. I woke up to Kiki making noise on the door and when I looked Zidi was next to the door watching. When she saw me she looked at me as if she was saying.." What IS she doing??" LOL she is a really pretty kitty. I have a couple of real beauties. Thank you Patti.

On a side note, Kilifi was on the shelf on the wall, washing, and wasn't paying attention and fell from the shelf to a desk and then onto the floor. I scooped her up and checked her out and loved her and she looked at me and started washing my nose. I guess she was telling me, " Dad , I'm ok." Looks like she is, but it scared me. The sound of her little head smacking the desk was not a nice sound.

Also Mr. fellow techie, I ordered a wireless wi-fi security camera so I can watch her from my family room. And from my work.
Anyway. Just thought I'd let you know.

And W.W. I will try that when she is a little more ok with the treats.

Would love to know what u ordered, I've been looking for one. Especially a wi-fi wireless.

I hope that Kilifi is ok! It's never good to hear them fall

@Mantha Meow she scares me a lot, but she is the hardest headed little girl I have ever seen.
Yes I am excited about Azidi's progress. Maybe not too much longer for her to be isolated.

There are some that are more $$ and Less $$ This one is nice. It is a fixed camera. If you are willing to go the extra $$ there are some that can be panned and zoomed also.

It's great to be able to see the daily progress Azidi is making - it won't be long now!

As for Kilifi's fall, well I've had cats fall off my six foot high bookshelves more than once. Amongst other notable features, I sometimes think Savannahs are the clumsiest breed!

I was just in with Azidi and was playing with the laser and she came right up to me twice and smelled both my hands, extensively. After the last smelling session, I slowly and gently touched her tail. She pulled away beyond my reach quickly but did not run under the bed. She wanted to play more. Then she went over to the closet door and began looking under it then looking at me. I took this to mean that she wanted something in the closet, so I opened the door and there was her little mouse. I got it out and held it out to her. She took it and began to play. This was the best so far.

Maybe it's time to try offering her a treat from your hand again...
