Hello Fellow Savannites

I know Deborah. But the love I feel for them is so strong I have no choice. But I owe it to the species. There are so many who are cruel and heartless and cats in general.. ALL cats wild and tame, big and small, are special. It breaks my heart to see them mistreated.
Female Savannahs remind me of women. I kinda think they are special too. ;)

And Patti, It is getting better with Azidi. But she has her own mind, and so we shall let her have her way, ( or so she will think.) :)

What John said.

But I am really trying to work on Azid's deepset fears. I am seeing daily improvement. Yesterday she let me kiss her head. And she has been letting me pick her up too. Still skittish about me touching her feet, but she is now touching my hand with her feet, so THAT is being broken down too. She is venturing out further into the house, but not for any length of time. If smething spooks her, she is back under the bed til the room door is closed. Sh3e and Kilifi are paw batting under the door. Lots of door thuds and hiss/spits, but not real aggressive ones. Kilifi has darted in the room a couple of time, causing Azidi to run into her safe place in the closet, but Kiki stops when I tell her too, and no real argument between them occurrs. Slow but steady improvement.
Another thing, Azidi is starting to eat the same wet food that Kiki likes. Not a lot yet, but starting. :)

Do any of your kids go running thru the house like insane cats after they use the litter box? Not all the time, but often Kilifi will race thru the house after a productive trip to the box. I've had other cats do that, but not as wildly crazy as she does. But then...she IS a Savannah....

LOL, Elsa runs through the house insanely all the time.. Not just after using the toilet... She doesn't need an excuse... :)

I'm not sure how well this might work but what if you put the crate and Kilifi in Azidi's room with her to start the formal introductions? It's Azidi's zone of comfort, she may feel more confident about meeting Kilifi on her own turf.

I was thinking on doing that very thing Patti. Start the intros for a few minutes to see, and expand them as they calm.
