Kilifi darted in this AM when I was taking out the dirty food dish to clean and fill it. Azidi cowered BY the bed (not under) Kilifi stood and looked at her, and neither one made a noise. I could tell Azidi was frightened but not as bad as she has been. I took Kilifi out and Azidi went on as if nothing had happened. Maybe sometime on my weekend ( maybe tues) I can let the 2 of them just work it out. (under supervision, of course.)

I'm thinkin' the same John. And I WILL be happy. There is so much confusion here when I am home. Kinda wonder how they yell at each other when I'm gone. I do KNOW Kilifi is wanting to play real bad. She has endless energy. Azidi has energy too, And loves to chase, so both will benefit from a buddy.

Sounds like it's time, you don't want to hold them back when they're ready either. They will work it out, maybe in stages but it will come. And I'm guessing that once Kilifi and Azidi are play buddies, Azidi won't be able to resist following her out of the room.

This weekend! (mine) Open the door and stand back. ( and watch ) If they don't kill each other, then leave it open and let them come and go as they will.

With High Hopes that you are not in the middle of one of the Biggest Cat Fights of the century.. Best of luck and hope they do well.

If there is anyone that thinks this is NOT good judgement, PLEASE, do NOT hesitate to tell me. I had it easy with Kilifi and Merlin. He was so mellow. And she was new and timid... then. Now she is the established one ( daddy's girl) and Azidi is the newbie. I am pretty sure Kilifi wants to be friendly, but I know Azidi has past issues with other kitties, so she may be very defensive. I want NO ONE to get hurt, Physically OR emotionally. So far the only physical confrontation was when Kilifi slipped in a month or so ago and chased Azidi all over the room. I think there was only a tiny scratch to Kilifi's face from that. No blood. And so I feel the violent time is mostly over. ( Hope, anyway) There may be some posturing, but that is gonna happen. I am sure there are folks here that probably have more experience introducing adult cats.
SO feel free to tell me your thoughts.
