I think yesterday's failed attempt to put Azidi in the carrier to go to the vet, was a bit of a setback. She has not let me love her like before and she is not playing as freely as she was. She is not totally rejecting me, but she will not let me put 2 hands on her. Breaks my heart, but I will be patient and try all the little tricks. She is such a sweetie when she is relaxed.
Probably just punishing you... Hopefully in a day or so she will forgive you and end your sentence.

I hope you're right. She still is standoffish.
You are still much farther along with her than anyone else has able to get in the past three years. Don't lose hope, if you look over the past several weeks since she's been with you, you will see that several times it has seemed like you've made two steps forward then one step back. The point is, you are continuing to go forward. She will forgive you, she has already bonded with you.

Yeah. She is really upset with me this time. She won't come out form under the bed to play as much and she will not allow me to pet her. She sure holds a grudge. I'm sure she will come back to me, but it is so frustrating.

Well. 2 things.
Azidi has forgiven me. She is back to her lovey, playful self. A little less trusting, but not too bad.
Kilifi has started doing something, and I wonder if anyone else has experienced this. I replaced her plastic frizzy wand toy end with a new feathered one. She has gone bonkers over it. She won't leave it alone. But she is doing something I am curious about. She seems to be so excited, that she pants. Like a dog. I could understand this if she was really exerting herself to the point of being breathless, but she is not. She will play, stop and just drag it around then pant, then drag it around, let go of it and pant, then start playing with it again. No panting while she is playing. She is a funny girl.
