Is the feather toy "Da Bird" with guinea hen feathers? The smell of that one drives mine nuts.
No, it is a wand toy with 3 different ends. Feathered, yarn, and plastic frills. From PetSmart. Not sure what type of feathers it has, but they BOTH love it. Gotta get some more. They tear them apart fast. Feathers everywhere...

Cats LOVE feather toys! The downside to this is that they sometimes try to eat them, and if they swallow a feather it can cause a bowel obstruction and then you are looking at a several hundred dollar surgery. My point is, never leave the feather toys out unsupervised, and make sure you pick up all the shredded pieces that fall off the wand.

I'm not too concerned about her panting - Savannahs in particular seem to do that at times when they get really excited. As long as it doesn't seem to last too long I think she's okay. However, if it persists you might want to have your vet check her out just to be sure.

And is her tail a bottle brush? Rafiki pants when she is super excited but her entire tail will fluff out as well!

And yes Patti - it can never be emphasized enough to put feather toys and string toys away after play!

No, Kilifi does not poof out her tail. Well, maybe at the base a little.

She doesn't pant for a long time, Just a few seconds at a time. Then runs off to play some more. If I take the toy away from her, the panting stops..but "The Look" begins. She usually get the toy back.

Elsa is still a little kid. She lives to play. Kilifi is teenager. She is a little more reserved. "LITTLE" Azidi is a woman and acts like it. ;)
