Aww...sounds like Kiki is happy and really coming along...that is so awesome to hear!

She amazes me all the time. New behavior almost daily. Usually very sweet. And Zidi is getting more and more lovey too. She still gets "nippy" when I pet her a lot. But when she starts to nip at me, she freezes and tries to move away. She does not want to nip, but it is almost like a compulsion. But she purrs so loud when she is that way that I know it is not visciousness, but overstimulation. She IS getting better.

And yesterday, I had Kiki outside in the front yard and Zidi was in the window in her room and saw Kiki and seemed interested. SO.... I put Kiki on the window sill outside and Zidi started meowing and trying to head butt Kiki through the window. Kiki was rather disinterested but stood there looking at Zidi. There seemed to be no hostility between them. Later in the evening, I put Kiki in the cage in Zidi's room, and Ziidi was sitting in her little house in the cat tree, and when she saw Kiki, she just curled up and went to sleep.
Sounds like she is becoming more and more at ease.

Headbutting from the other side of the window? Zidi? Awesome. Are you sure she wasn't trying to push Kiki off the sill?

No Really.. She was head butting and talking. NOT growling or hissing. Being VERY gentle. No thumps or bumps. I was really surprised.

What has me feeling so very good is Kilifi's excitement about Regie coming to live with us. And she is being so much more of a love bug lately. She has started to do this cute little thing. After I have been away or asleep, she will come up to me, put her front paws on my knee, reach up with one paw and gently pull my face down to her and she will then touch noses with me. And we know a nose touch is a kitty kiss. It is so sweet.

Me too. And I didn't say that later I had Kiki in the cage in Zidi's room, and Zidi did not seem to be phased at all. She fell asleep. Kiki did too after a few minutes. So after about 45 min, I took Kiki out of the cage and put her close to Zidi and they just looked at each other and there was no tension. I put Kiki out and went over to Zidi and she was purring.
Could my prayers be coming to reality. Could they be accepting each other????

Yay Zidi and Kiki!
Took D and Jarvis a while (and Mickey) but now they groom each other and snuggle from time to time (but are more likely to snuggle with Mickey than with each other).

Holy Cow!!! You neglected to mention that part of the story!!! That truly is amazing!!! Perhaps the next step will be sitting on the bed or floor with Kiki while Zidi watches, and see if you can coax her to join you with a wand toy or treat...
