I used to Live In L.A. yrs ago for several yrs during college ( my first college that is), what part are you from as it is quite the huge place with the valley and beaches and such! I used to live in West hollywood, very expensive but safe, North Hollywood and Near Lancaster during those yrs once my leases were up. You are making me feel old at this point in remembrance, love it, hate the traffic, but the culture is amazing in almost every aspect of L.A. Still have some family living there.

I am in in the San Diego Area suburbs near the beach! Actually it is visual right from my roof or my bedroom window with Nala as we are that close. Very lucky BUT expensive! As you know Cali Is no matter hwere you are in southern Cali

Thank you! she sure is precious and I have never seen or encountered a more human-bond between pet ( in her case-Savannah-mix) and human (homo sapien) than she expresses to me. I am sure a lot say this about any cat fanciers, but honestly she wraps her arms around me, won't let me leave home, sleeps hugging me like a baby....and is drawn completely to me. Found her a Cat-only vet as well. Amazing service and great student discounts since I have medical and IT experience under the belt. Wouldn't trade her for the world!

Yeah, it is definitely an acquired "itch" for sure. Simply irresistable We are getting her on a raw meat/prey diet soon as we want the very best for her. She's definitely worth it and other than becoming a mom myself, I can't imagine a more touching experience in my life than she has altready brought

Nala is so cute! I feed my kitties a combo of whole prey and pre-bought raw. Kudos for giving it a shot!

I tried whole prey but could not convince my cats that this was food and not just toys. That would have been my preference. I don't know of any local dealers but many folks here use either Haretoday or RodentPro and they deliver using dry ice. Both of my cats were weaned directly to raw so at least I did not have to transition them. My breeder is in Orange County and he gets his meat directly from Foster Farms. They apparently think that he has a restaurant as he buys a substantial amount (>50 lbs) every week. I seem to remember that a new co-op had gone into business somewhere between OC and San Diego but I don't remember where I saw the info.
