I'm afraid I don't have an answer for that one except maybe getting a larger litterbox, and/or placing the litterbox on a plastic or rubber mat that he steps onto when he exits so that it would be easier to clean up.

It's already the biggest litterbox I ever saw and we placed a carpet in front of it to catch the litter when they leave and that we can wash in case he's bringing the brown gold with him.

I received a call from the vet today. The test was positive, gardia. We're treating both of them now for a couple of days with a special paste. And might repeat the cure after 2 weeks.

Keep the litter boxes clean even if it means changing the litter every day and disinfecting the boxes daily. Keep boxes and surrounding areas dry. Wash bedding, toys, food and water dishes in solution of 1 part bleach to 16 parts water. Same with floors and toys. Or use a cleaning product containing quaternary ammonium. Both of these disinfection techniques require that the solution sit for several minutes (15 for bleach) and then need to be rinsed thoroughly.

Remember that the parasitic cysts can be shed even if the parasite isn't present in stool sample. This can be a difficult parasite to get rid of so exceptional hygiene is required and it takes a bit of effort.

Treatment is still ongoing. It's getting better already. It was 5 days paste, 3 days break, 5 days paste. Now it's a 2 week break just to repeat the 5-3-5 again.
So I'll see how 2 weeks without paste will look like. Hope consistency stays the way it is right now.
Pictures will follow as soon as he is back on track.
