Hello from Miami !!!

Ezequiel

Savannah Adult
Hi Everyone,
I don't know much about cat breeds, so I wanted to ask you experts what breed mix you think this kitten could be. She just turned 3 months and she is super long and tall for her age. She is black/ smoke with black spots all over, except her legs. Neither the shelter where we rescued her recently here in Miami, nor or our vet knew what breed she was. Thanks everyone!!

It's hard to tell from one picture, especially in a kitten too... kittens can look leggier than they turn out to be as adults, their heads tend to "grow into" their ears and their eyes tend to be larger as babies too... so that complicates matters. For me though, her ears are not very large and her legs don't look that very long nor body very lean in build. Alternatively, her smoky coloring and her vivid green eyes say more Egyptian Mau to me. Look smoke Egyptian Mau up on the internet, they are very cool and also a spotted cat. Smoke is the solid version of a silver tabby (as black is the solid version of a brown spotted tabby)... with the silver gene it can be highly expressed so that a smoke looks almost like a silver spotted tabby or it can be very lowly expressed and the cat looks almost black. So your kitten looks somewhere in between but smoke Egyptian Maus are not too uncommon in the breed... so saying that the Egyptian Mau was a permissible outcross for the Savannah breed when we were in the New Breed program, so there are quite some Savannahs out there that show that Mau heritage in their looks too :)

Welcome, she is a beautiful girl. Love the long legs, ears and the markings. I agree with Brigitte. :)
