Oh, I'm not complaining at all!

I think it's adorable. His desire to play is warring with his wariness of me and his new surroundings.

If I could just find my phone I'd take some pictures....

We are all excited to see the new furry member! :) Congrats! I'm sure he will come around quite soon for you.

Will have pictures in a bit, I'm still tending to my injuries. When Da Bird swings towards me, he jumps for it, claws out and can't exactly alter his course mid-air.

He's very, very playful, near UN-exhaustable. Now Vakai's taken to jumping up onto my lap, and standing on my laptop or biting my Kindle when I have the audacity to take a break from petting him and telling him he's gorgeous.

He's also stopped bolting when I open the door to his room. Poor baby, I was watching a Savannah cat vid on youtube and he climbed onto my computer keyboard pushed his face against the screen. Poor baby.

Sounds like you are becoming his family now :). Pretty soon he will be following you where ever you go and helping with any task you are focused on. Sometimes you and he wont agree on wether he is helping or not. But he will always be right there ready to lens a paw when you need it.

He may even follow you in the shower. It still cracks me up when my sv joins me in the shower. He's never in there for more than 2 or 3 mins, but he has blast chasing the water when he is. I even help towel him dry now afterwards =}.

Sounds like you are one of the lucky ones that can say that you are owned by a sv. You'll see how true that statement is in a very short time, if u haven't already.

Welcome and congrats on your furry friend :)

He will settle in ...just give him time. Patience is the key to it all. Trying to rush him will often slow down progress. Talking and letting him know you are there is going to speed the process. Just know that everything is foreign to him. Just touch him and spend as much time with him as you can, When he starts calling to you when you have left the room...know tht he is beginning to accept you as the new mama;>) Make sure you answer him;>)

Oh yes, and I knew he was going to have long legs but I didn't quite know they were going to be that long. He cuts a beautiful figure!

Apparently his sire was one of the tallest at A1 Savannas.
