I spent all yesterday afternoon trying to take some pictures, most of which turned out to be a. the back of his head, or b. the floor. When I say this little creature is fast...it's an understatement!
Duma (still getting used to that name, but as he hasn't told me a different name, that's what's sticking) is pretty amazing. When I go to sleep, he is always in the bed next to me, if not touching me then not far. And he's always there when I wake up. No clue what he does all night...for sure he does not sleep all the way through, his pattern seems to be intense play followed by a catnap followed by food followed by intense play...at 2-hour intervals. The funny thing about his naps in between - if he's downstairs with me and Dante and it's suddenly nap time, he goes back upstairs to the bed for his nap! Not like Dante who can sleep anywhere or any time, just by flopping.
At 11 weeks, this little creature (little creature is his nickname because he makes these banshee noises while he walks around) already knows how to play fetch! Pretty freaking amazing! I really want to get a picture of him carrying his favorite little mousie around the house, it's the one Kelly gave us, it has Savannah spots on it just like him. Even though he's super gentle with it, we'll need more of those soon lol
The other game he loves to play is when he "tags" my leg (more like hugs it) and then runs away, looking to see if I saw him do it. Also, I wasn't going to do this so quickly, but he now has free run of the house--supervised, though. He goes back in quarantine when there's nobody to supervise. I'm not sure if it's that I've sufficiently SV-proofed my house, or just that he's very gentle, but the fear of destruction and breakage is not really there.
This is for Alisha--I put the Litter Kwitter in the bathroom with him and he uses it like a champ! He is so funny in his bathroom habits, he always announces "it's time to go!" except if I'm in the bathroom with him then he joins me on his LK seat lololol and when I flush his poo he loves to watch it float down the drain. Ultimately I don't think the LK or toilet training is going to work for us simply because I can't get Dante to use it, but I figure as long as he's in quarantine might as well see how far he can go.
