We tried fitting the Puppia harness on him tonight while he was in a really happy mood, purring SUPER loud the whole time! My wife and I were fumbling around trying to put it on correctly and he was a great sport about it. 
Sadly though, it's quite a bit too small in the chest for him. I think I just need to get one from here. I know I saw a few on a thread in here. Which do you all recommend?

This is the one I recommend: http://joykatz.net/walking_jackets.htm The nice thing about these jackets is, if you want, Aneta will make a larger size for you and sew pleats in the straps so that it will fit a littler guy, then as he continues to grow (and I'm sure he will) you can let the pleats out and the jacket will grow with him. There are instructions on how to measure him on the website.

He's getting braver now. He really wants to explore more now, but we have been doing our best keeping him in there. It's funny because while I'm keeping him company there are times when he get so concentrated on what Sarah is doing in the rest of the house. She used the mixer earlier while I was in there with him and he wasn't quite sure about that noise. I kept him calm though and he just stuck by my side purring until she was finished.

I took a bunch of pictures last night, but I had it set on too big of pixel setting so i need to try to size them down a bit to put them on here
He is really wanting to get to the rest of the house now. He's very curious about everything that is going on the other side of his bedroom door. Do you think he might be comfortable enough to let him explore a little or should I still keep him in his room for another 4-5 days?

If he's the only animal in the house, I'd let him out to explore. But still keep him in the cat room when you're not at home for a few more days until you know that he's explored everything everywhere and you've identified and fixed where potential hazards may be.
