I was playing with him with one of his fly wands. I decided to have it hide in the big bag and he thought that was wonderful! One he got it out of there though, he thought the bag and everything in it was more interesting. :) He proceeded to drag the bag to his room, leaving a trail of its contents. He didn't want to leave the baby changing pad out there, so he drug that down the hall to his room also! Funny guy. :)

Play time! :) He gets bored of the box fairly quickly, but it was cool to see him fetch his toy out of there. Then after the bag incident, I decided to get a grocery bag and tie a few knots in it for him to play with. That is the ONLY thing so far, I have seen him play with by himself. He threw it around and had a great time with it, never actually trying to tear at it, just mouth it.

Good for you for not sharing! When I got Nina she was apparently very used to "sharing" human food and would try to snatch food from my plate. She still occasionally attempts to go near the plate but is easily dissuaded by a "nah!" sound ... can only imagine the mayhem if I let them all "share" dinner with me...yikes! Although mostly mine are uninterested by cooked meat...it's when it is raw and I'm about to cook in the kitchen I get the most pleas from the kitties :)

Oh yeah, that's the last thing I want is him whining for everything we eat. LOL! That was the first thing he really "begged" for though. He learned. He's getting to know the phrase "be good!" now too, hehe.

Oh yeah, that's the company I was thinking about. Have you ever done the math as to how much it costs per day to feed with whole prey Paige? Hehe, I saw that video of Zuri and her mouse. :) She looks very happy with her feeding time.

She loves whole prey...but the problem is she will only eat the smallest prey and therefore does not get enough nutrients, so I have to give her a can of food or some raw to supplement. it's no problem for her though. She runs on her cat wheel so much that she eats more than the 15 pound Taj and Zuri is only 8.5 pounds.

It costs me about $6/day to feed Zuri if not more.

We've been playing a lot. I try to get him running around the house to exhaustion (he lets me know) at least twice a day plus small play sessions in between.
Paul, I'm glad to hear how well Sorte is settling in for you. Just a suggestions but you might want to keep the play sessions on the mild side for now, until you have him checked out by your vet and get more information on his heart murmur(s).
