Hello there from Ontario Canada!!!

Shaun Roach

Savannah Super Cat
My name is Shaun Roach and I am a recent owner of two Savannah F3C kittens. A little background, I rescued a kitten that was thrown out of a car in a plastic bag and turned into a kennel. I adopted him at 4 weeks old when he ate dry food out of my hand. I was watching the Simpsons and named him Bart. He was buddy and would follow me everywhere and greet me when I got home and was a lap cat. I got him when I was 20 years old and had him until May of this year when I had to put him down due to stage 4 kidney failure... Bart lived for 18 years basically I had him for half my life and he was irreplaceable and will be forever missed!!! Fast forward a month later and I was talking about cats with my girlfriend and we knew a girl at work that had cats for sale. Well that was the beginning of the journey into the world of Savannahs. The girl was a Savannah and Serval breeder and my research begun. I began watching hundreds of YouTube videos on Savannahs and Servals, I was hooked. I was fascinated by the look of the Savannah cat and mostly it's behaviour/intelligence. How they could open drawers to find toys, turn on/off light switches and their love of water was so intriguing to me. So me and the girlfriend contacted the breeder and she thought her one queen was possibly pregnant with F6 SBT kittens and they would be ready to be adopted in October. Well my excitement grew and the video watching continued we ordered a huge cat tree and began planning for the arrival of the kittens. I only wanted to proceed because this experience was totally different than having Bart and new to me. Well so here we are at the end of June and I can't wait anymore I want some Savannah kittens now lol. The breeder had some F3C kittens available so after talking to the girlfriend and increasing our budget we contacted the breeder and got two kittens at the end on July hahahaha. So far having Magnus and Onyx has changed my life. There was such a deep void once Bart was gone but these guys have filled it two fold in such an amazing way. There constant playing, love of water and getting into everything has kept us busy and happy!! Sorry for the biography just exited to be here and part of the Savannah community IMG_6498.JPG This was Bart IMG_0266.JPG Magnus and Onyx IMG_0267.JPG

Awww, what a great story to introduce yourself and your lovely new kittens! Bart sounds like a big personality, I hope that these new babies bring joy to your life in a similar manner :)

Thanks guys. Yes Bart was one of kind I think because I had him so young the bond we shared unbreakable!!! The new kittens are fantastic and I'm glad we got two of them. When I get up early to do the dishes Magnus has one paw in the sink or his head under the tap hahaha they love to play and are so fascinating to watch. My t.v. Watching has definitely decreased lol.
