Hello

Dandylions

Savannah Super Cat
Hello from the UK :)

We will be getting our first Savannah kittens ( F6SBTs ) next weekend so thought I would pop in and introduce myself
I am Liz and my other half is Steve we don't have any other cats or dogs but do have a collection of
Tropical fish - the Savannahs won't be allowed near them unsupervised :) We are trying to think of names at the moment so if anyone has any good ideas, we are getting brother and sister..

Looking forward to next weekend and will post piccys once they are settled :)

You get a few funny looks tho

Welcome Liz, and congratulations on your new Savannahs! Do you have any pics from the breeder that you can post now?

Hi all and thanks for the nice welcome - coco thanks for the info on the jackets I've got some kitten harnesses to start them young around the house but the myland ones look fab for outdoor time we have some great countryside on our doorstep so they will have fun exploring .

The kittens are coming from Laura at Jacaranda here in the UK,she has been a great help and has given us lots of advise already and answered all our questions, which we have asked a lot :) we are eagerly awaiting their arrival on Saturday

I do have some pics is it normally ok to post them before we get our kittens?

Thanks Liz

Welcome Liz and congratulations!

I think as long as your breeder is okay with sharing your kitten pics we'd love to see them :)

As to names, it depends on what you like. I like naming my Savannahs African names so search out online African name websites (there's a number of them) and then look for names that sound nice to me AND have a meaning that seems right. For example, one of my cats is Amonke which means "to know her is to pet her" and we call her Monkey which suits her too... I have no idea why a human child would be named that but it works great for a cat!

Hi Bridget yes we like the African names its just choosing the right ones :)
I will check if it is ok to post some pics but in the meantime I have uploaded a video of our monster fish on the other pets thread, I think this will make it obvious why the savannah is the cat for us :)

Ive had a look on that website and can see the little trouble makers youve bought, there beautiful

You may as well start Sv proofing your house now, after a few months i had new taps ( they can turn them on ), new door handles, a huge cat wheel, a outdoor enclosure and a lot of knocked over ornaments haha

Oh and they will wait for the postman and shred your post as it comes thru the letterbox, my postman used to tell me he could feel the post being dragged thru the letterbox when he did it........ ended up getting a letter cage and outside postbox

post pics when youve picked them up :)
