Hi all!
I have been lurking here for awhile now and figured I should introduce myself.
I am a new mama to a male F3 savannah named Titan. He is a little over 4 months now and we have had him for almost 2 weeks.
He is such a joy! Now I get it....I get why everyone is so obsessed with their Savannah. I figured he was just going to be a very pretty looking normal cat. Um no! LOL He definitely does not have the personality of a normal cat! He is sooooo curious, very loving, VERY energetic and so much fun!
I have learned so much already from this board and am so happy I found it!

Welcome, Aimee!

Yes, they are a little more than just a pretty cat ;-) What we try most to explain to folk is that it is the Savannah personality that is so attractive, their interactiveness, their energy, their intelligence. I'm glad you are having fun with your new boy :)

Thank you guys! :) His eyes are sooo pretty, very green and bright.
Yes, I'm amazed at how smart he is! He already loves to play fetch, tries to open drawers and cabinents, gets into everything because he just HAS to see what it is!
He loves to play! So, even though we try to play with him before bed....he seems to think that bed time is play time. Last night, he was running around like a crazy mad kitty playing with his toys. He always jumps up on the bed with his choice toy and tries to get me to play with him. Well last night, he was seriously having fun. But everytime he would jump on the bed with his toy....he would growl at me! Like a dog! Im sure it was just in a playful manner, because he would either dart off to play more, or drop the toy and pur while I pet him waiting for me to throw it. Have any of you experienced playful growling like this? I was a little bit shocked.

I have a playful growler, too. Cappy growls when he's playing, and he growls even more when he WANTS you to play with him.

That is too funny! I'm sure that is what Titan was trying to do, get me to play with him! Because I was was TRYING to ignore him so he gets the point that it is bedtime. That was not working out too well for me. Hahaha
