Hi Sol. Poor Alpha. That is one heck of a nasty wound on his leg. I agree with giving him something to calm him. When my girl was in pain and hiding, I gave her either Rx Vitamins Liquid Nutricalm or Vetoquinol Zylkene. Both are over the counter so you do not need to get it from the vet. The Nutricalm is a liquid. I added it to her food. I started with just a couple of drops and built up to the full amount over a few days. The Zylkene is a capsule of powder. I opened the capsule and mixed it into her food. She was not opposed to either one and did not snub her food. It did not make her drowsy or doped up, it just seemed to take the edge off of her anxiety.

Sol is getting help now from a breeder in Italy and I believe we found the breeder of Alpha, who is in France. So I hope between us here and the breeders in Italy and France, Alpha can get the help he needs and deserves.

Sol it’s so important to keep the cone on and I know how heartbreaking it is to see them so down. There aren’t any short cuts to their health and happiness. As much as we want to remedy their pain, we also want to lift our heavy heart by giving them more freedoms. It nearly always results in setbacks and with setbacks come a heavy heart and a longer recovery.

Stay strong Sol, give Alpha a chin rub for me.

Hi everybody with a really big pain in my heart I want to tell you that Alpha passed away yesterday afternoon. He had a lymphoma that has taken him away in 10 days! He had a 5 cm mass in his mediastinum ! Everyday he had fkuid in his lungs abda everyday they took the fluid off and the fluid came back again. He couldn't breath regularly and he couldn't swallow anymore so it was a week that I fed him with syringe and semi liquid food. I have done whatever I could to cure him waiting for laboratory's result to tell us if it was possible the chemiotherapy to reduce the lymphoma but this has not been possible because the disease was too aggressive and he was too weak. I'm totally heart broken it's a very painful experience but in the same way I thank God that allowed me to meet an animal like Alpha it has been a wonderful experience he was a really beautiful animal and I have loved him so much and I hope that he felt my love and that in his very short life (one year and four months) he felt that he was a really beloved cat. I want to thank all of you because you helped me a lot and your advices and your support were precious for me and for Alpha. A big hug to everyone of you also from Alpha from the place where he is now smiling and running happy with no more pain.
