Help Save Nimbus

Posting this from Facebook. Jacq is the artist who created the forum's banner and also painted the beautiful portrait of my Atticus.

Hello everyone in the community. Our good friend Jacqueline Luttrelle (Jacq) has received some especially bad news today about her beloved Nimbus. He has been diagnosed with diabetes and is in need of immediate care. The first round of insulin alone will cost $300 and there will be additional costs for testing and to get him stabilized. As many of you recall, it was just weeks ago that Jacqui went through a heroic and costly fight to save Razi who unfortunately lost his life at a young age to HCM. Jacqui has had many challenges this year and was almost back on her feet when this devastating news hit this week. Jacqui has consoled, advised, cheered, offered support and cried with us through all of our travails over the years and although times are hard for all right now if we can help her save precious Nimbus I know your generosity will never be forgotten.

Ugh, poor Jacqui! I remember Nimbus from the time she got him as a little kitten. Diabetes is an expensive disease, I hope she will be able to manage. I have known people who have been able to control their cat's diabetes without medication by putting them on a strictly raw diet - I wonder if she would be able to try that for him, if she isn't already...

Jacqueline does beautiful art work. Sorry to hear about Razi and now Nimbus!

Sending love xo

Donated to cover the first round of insulin, hope that helps a little.

Be well...

It's such a blow for Jacqui...first Razi and now Nimbus... I so hope that Nimbus can do well with the treatment and Jacqui has him for some time to come!
