I have a 5 yr old F4 Savannah and she gets bored easily.. I have 2 other cats she plays with, access to my outside lanai, and i play with her at least 3 times a day.. i always get the look like" is that all you got." I have a ton of toys that i rotate with.. any suggestion??? I also noticed recently after coming back from vacation she has decided to pee on my new bathroom rug, Just mine of course.. i do have 4 litter boxes, one outside, and extra large open one with a corner one in same area, and one in our bathroom tub.. i don't know what to do.. she does meow sometimes as she is bored.. please any suggestions with this also would be appreciated.. thank you:unsure:;)

I take my Savannah on a stroll every day in a stroller and I also put them on a leash and let him play supervised and I also make him run and jump after toys quite often and these cats do take a lot of energy. The cat pees on the rug because they do it out of retaliation so to speak because they're mad at you during the time you were away then came back.

My cat has poo'd on the bathroom rug. However I control it now by closing the bathroom door sometimes and also I watch him as he goes into his litter box whines and runs out to the bathroom.. I know that's when he's about to do it so then I scoot him back to the litter box. Hes fussy about his box like most are.

Hes the cleanest fastidious cat Ive owned. More even the my female bengals I owned.

Close the bathroom door when you are gone

First thing is to make sure she doesn't have a UTI or some other physical malady. You'll need to use a good enzyme cleaner such as Anti Icky Poo (available only online) to clean the rug and the floor. The cleaners available in stores are not as effective. I prefer the unscented one.

MissyL's suggestions about play and limiting access to the bathroom are also good options. You can also try sprinkling a thin layer of Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract litter on top of the regular litter in all the boxes until she breaks the habit.

If she is treat oriented, you can buy a variety of brain teaser Trixie cat toys on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=trixie+cat+toys that should keep her busy when she gets bored and you don't have time to play.

Sometimes cats begin to dislike the litter box, the litter, or the location of the boxes so if nothing else works, you may have to experiment with different litter types and box locations.

thank you. I do take her out on a leash as well.. i thought about the UTI but she's eating, peeing and acting normal.. I just bought the Icky Poo and should get it this weekend..

She does like her treats, i actually add them to play activity.. I will try everything .. like i said this just happen in the last month, she has been fine since i got her at 7months old.. :)

Sometimes the slightest change brings about behavior issues. Has the relationship between her and one of the other cats changed? Is there a neighborhood cat hanging around your house? Have you or a family member been ill? One of my SVs is so sensitive to change that he goes bonkers if I rearrange the furniture. They can be soooo darn fickle.

Her and the other cats get along as usual. I have a lot of wildlife around here so maybe. I know she doesn't like it when I buy new stuff so I probably shouldn't shop anymore. She's gets very curious and skiddish at the same time. I really appreciate all the advice. I do give her AlOT of attention and everyone gets jealous. So I try to pay attention to all equally. That could be the reason too.

I have the same stuff too. I really do like the interactive toys... the one circle that has three balls in it ...my cat takes the blue ball in the lower section and actually uses his paws to pull it out and then hides ball and it takes me forever to find it and he thinks it's really funny.. one time it took me 6 months to find it!

I feel your pain! Loki pees on anything when given any, and I mean any opportunity!

What, you didn't put up laundry? I peed on it. You're welcome.

What, you left a suitcase out? It is now filed with urine.

What, you went golfing and left the bag out? Somehow I managed to get urine where the clubs go and now it's full of urine. You are more than welcome.

I'm trying to catch him now for bed, goodnight!
