Hey Everyone!

Hey everyone I'm Jason! I've been lurking on these forums for a week or two now and decided it was about time to make an account :). The fact that I couldn't see all of the beautiful pictures the members of this forum kept posting pushed me a bit too ;) . I came across the Savannah breed about 3 months ago and haven't stopped researching them since. I grew up with several cats and after having lived a few years with no animals at all I am definitely ready for something more! I feel like these introductions are commonly accompanied by pictures of a kitten/cat the person has, just got or is on their way to getting. Unfortunately it looks like I should wait a few more months before I get a kitten but it doesn't hurt to be informed until that day comes! While it wouldn't be ideal for me to get a kitten right now, I am seriously considering getting a F6SBT kitten from spotlight savannahs in Pensacola. Anyways, thats it haha. Glad to meet everyone. I attached a photo of bolas from spotlight SVs just because I know this forum loves pictures.

Beautiful kitten...love those eyes! Is this one of the kittens you're considering?

Yeah I should have connected the dots a bit more for everyone haha. Bolas is the kitten I am considering from spotlight mostly because they have two SBTs, one of each gender and I want a male. They also have some beautiful F3s available right now but they are a little too much for me to spend right now. I have to limit my options to breeders in florida because I would like to be able to drive to get the kitten as opposed to flying and spotlight is only 2 hours away. Fortunately Florida is full of excellent breeders.

My husband, Coolcat, and I are new SV owners, ourselves.:big grin: We already have a Bengal, so are accustomed to a higher energy breed of cat. Triton has brought us a lot of joy and laughter, and he hasn't even been out of quarantine yet! Looking forward to seeing many photos of your new baby when you get him home!

Welcome. Sounds like you are doing this the smart way. Reading up ahead of time!
I agree with John. I'd like to hear more about your experience with Servals.
Many of us are fascinated with the breed's exotic origin. I'm curious to learn about traits and see how that might correlate with the end results, those items that are controlling us!
(alright! alright!, take it easy! I'm getting the treats!.... Be patient.... Knock it off will ya?......for crying out loud.....)

As wonderful as that kitten looks and probably is, I will be moving around a bit in the next 5-6 months which is why I have not gotten a kitten already. It is just hard not to have 3 already ;). I have no experience with Servals other than reading up on them.

Oh man! Speed reading through your post and mistakenly read "serval" when I saw the word "several".

Sorry for the undue pressure, although it could have made for an interesting fictional tale of how as an infant you were washed away from your parents in a Serengeti flash flood, later to be found in a dry lake bed and raised by some caring Servals. Then of course to this day more tales of what an excellent mouser you are.

Again my apologies.
