When I got my kitten he was eating kitten chow too, he really liked it and was hesitant to eat wet food but now he hardly touches his kibble (grain free Wellness brand.)

I feed Jengo the Wellness cubed or minced dinners in a variety of meats and he loves it I will also try the TOTW with him and see what he thinks.

It was frustrating at first because he really loved kitten chow for reason and would almost eat around the healthy kitty food - but we got through it and he's a pretty good eater now.

Welcome Amy and congrats on your new kitty ! I feed mostly raw here a little kibble. I use Royal canine S/O my white cat had a blockage a year ago and I dont want it to happen again, so I just stick with this.

Simba is coming home THIS FRIDAY! I can not wait. The breeder said he is soo active, he will sit on your lap then when you stand up climb up on you all over your clothes. Boy am I in for a ride...

I have set up his kitten room, my big walk- in closet and he'll hang out in my bedroom with me while I'm home.

The only thing left really is getting a cat tree! I have been asking my bf to help me build one but he has been so busy... hopefully we will finally have something this weekend so he's got something to climb on.

Can't wait!

Welcome, Amy! I completely agree with the others... when my cats were getting kibble I was feeding Taste of the Wild...but recently my eldest cat developed signs of kidney failure (due to the heart medication he takes). I removed the kibble and found a canned he would eat that was better quality than the Fancy Feast he wanted (Earthborn Holistics is what they eat now) and six months on his kidney values are stable and no deterioration. That was a huge indicator to me on how bad kibble and cheaper canned food can be for them.

The more I read about dry kibble, the more I hate it. A big eye opener was realizing that they're all made by the same companies. Diamond Pet Foods makes Taste of the Wild, as well as the Chicken Soup line which recently had a recall, and also Kirkland brand, which leads me to believe that you could just as easily buy Costco food and get the same or similar quality.

Duma still gets Taste of the Wild, which causes Dante to have some sort of unknown urinary tract problems (he's been tested 3x with no conclusion), and it's impossible to stop Dante from getting what he wants when he really wants it, so I'm trying to cut back until I don't have to feed dry at all. Im hoping to get down to a diet of premade raw (Primal, Stella & Chewy, Wysong, and the like) and canned (generally Weruva).
