No arguing with Muddy Waters, although Bo was the first out of the gate.

If I start listening to the blues now, I know I am going to have an issue tomorrow morning.

Sorry, I'm not much help as I have never been able to name a kitten until they have been around for a week or so.

Musaib....are you looking for a theme type of name -- African to reflect serval ancestry, or sports figures, movie stars? I think more names will come to you when your breeder starts to describe his personality as it develops. It may be that you won't be able to settle on a name until he's home with you and you've had a chance to see him in action.

Decide first what KIND of a name you want to give him. For instance, I name all my Savannahs with Swahili words and all my Highlanders with Native American words. If you want a name that describes his personality you might need to meet him first. If you want it to describe his looks then maybe think about names or terms that use the word silver or something similar, e.g. mercury, mithral platinum, steel... or spot or tibbers is okay too ;)

If you are going to Penn State, why not Nittany?

One word of advice, make sure you have a talk with your coach about your practice and travel schedule. As a former D-1 student athlete, I found managing my practice and competiton schedule a bit of a challenge at times.

By way of example, I was expected to go on a winter training trip and a spring break training trip every year, and I was off campus at races 4 weekends in the fall, and another 9 weekends in the spring- every weekend from mid-march through finals.
I went to college on an athletic scholarship, and I could not afford my school without that scholarship, so sports were not negotiable for me. College athletics (D-1) can be a full time job; make sure you and your coach are on the same page.
