Ohhhhhh she's sooooooo cute! Congratulations on your fur baby. Gotta add my 1 cent and say that she definitely looks more like a Freya than a Trixie or Lucy (don't tell your husband, I don't want to get into trouble:cautious:)

Oooh I like Freya.. also just saw Yuki means snow too. I love the name Pearl for her, but since she is supposed to be my husband's (umm... I'm already super attached to her lol) he would rather not name her something too girly. He wants to name her Trixie and then name our boy Speed when he arrives. Oh! And also Lucy / Linus is in the running....

She was a little angel during the night (slept in her carrier all night without a peep) but today she has been on my bed under the covers. She seems to be getting a bit more comfortable. Hoping she'll want to sleep in my bed tonight :)

I've also noticed something odd/cute about her- she likes to have her tummy rubbed! Also, I remember years ago when we got my brother's snow bengal, the coat was super soft like this kitten's and it turned out to be a beautiful glittered coat. Is it typical of savannah kitten fur to be super velvety soft?

Trixie and Speed is a good combo for us Speed Racer cartoon fans (not that craptastic live action movie).
Speaking of which, Racer X (or Rex) was in the running for Yeti because of his appearance.

Typical Savannah coats, I believe are supposed to be somewhat coarse and the spots softer. Yuki is that way while Yeti is very soft and fine. All of my current cats like belly rubs.

Update: Things are good, but still no name lol. She found a hiding spot inside of our armoire, behind the tv- and she has been going there more and more. She's sleeping quite a bit (um.. most of the day), and then of course was up wanting to play at 3am. I had to put her back into the crate last night with the door shut, b/c when I took her out she wanted to climb and jump which resulted in things getting knocked over. Hoping her cat tree arrives soon! When I take her out of there, she purrs and plays for a while, then wants to go back. Is this normal? Took her to the vet this morning and everything was great!

The only other thing I want to ask about is the use of Metacam for after her surgery in a month- I was advised to stay away from it, and the vet sort of disagreed. Is there an alternative for this?

Yeti is awesome! How old is he and Yuki?

Forgot to say, she is 16 weeks, weighed in at 4lb 6oz...

Thanks, I'll tell Yeti he has another fan. ;)

He is 18 and a half weeks, and 4 lbs 4oz

Your girl may well be bigger than Yeti. :)

Yuki is 3 years+ and about 8lbs.

Both are F5.
