So todays the day, where are the photos! Must be exciting. I remember day 1, really long day of trying to make him super comfortable so he would approach me. Tip, if you're doing it in the bedroom, block off under the bed, otherwise he will get under there and hide pretty quick and you will spend a huge chunk of your day laying next to the bed looking under it saying nice things haha.

Mine likes the strings hanging off the blinds, but usually doesn't play with them if the blinds are up haha, too distracted by the great outdoors!

HR came in full of confidence and is now sleeping under the coffee table we have in our kitchen.

I will posts lots of pics later.

Darwin was chewing on my wooden blinds; opening them didn't help much.

I tried opening them more, but he just did a pull-up with his back feet dangling in the air. I haven't caught him chewing on them lately, so maybe it was just a teething phase.

For the strings, I bought small cleats that I installed up high and wrap the strings around them.

Well, umm, err, there is a solution for the blinds. But if you can handle the cost of a savannah, might want to consider Pella Designer series windows. Put the blinds on the inside of the third pane!

I'm n the UK and not heard of Pella...thankfully the blinds are not expensive ones

The blinds (and or shades are another option) are between the outer sealed thermal pane and the inner third pane. The blinds are adjustable for opening and slant. In the cold parts on this side of the pond, the inner third pane is room temperature. And the blinds don't get dusty because the dust can't get in!
I don't know if they ship to the UK. (Pella.com)
