Toby's mom
Savannah Adult
Hi everyone my name is Cheryll & I'm the proud mommy of two f1 male Savannahs, Toby & Hobbes. Toby, a beautiful silver will be 2 in July & Hobbes, a dark silver with a gold cast, will be 1 in about 2 weeks. Even though these two guys are the joy of my life I would be lying if I said they didn't keep me on my toes.
My husband & I started reading about the Savannah 4or 5 yrs. ago and instantly fell in love with the breed. After many nights of study and then interviewing a few breeders we found a breeder that we liked & took the plunge. Toby came home with us at 10 weeks, he had two speeds; super turbo & asleep. By the time he was 16 weeks old he could out run and tackle any cat or dog in our house,(not being mean, he's just so much stronger than normal cats even our Maine Coone mix)but that is when we started entertaining the thought of a second Savannah.
Toby was 9 mo. and very much of a mama's boy when we brought Hobbes home. Hobbes was 10 wks from the same breeder & Toby's half brother.
After about a week adjustment period they were running non stop together and the other animals in our house were breathing a sigh of relief and staying out of the way of the two unguided missiles that where flying around house bouncing off of the walls.
I can't imagine life without these guys, they are so sweet and unbelievably smart. I'm not saying we haven't had our challenges, Toby's gone through a bad chewing phase but after two down comforters and every set of sheets and pillow cases I own I think he's finally finished teething. Hobbes on the other hand never has had a problem chewing but we can not have standing water around him, if there is bowl, cup or glass of water unattended he will empty it and soak anything with in a two foot radius.
I could go on and on about these fabulous boys since there is not a day that goes by that their doing something that amazes me, but I'll just end this with Hi! Everyone I'm so glad I found this forum.
