In my youth I had pets named after some of the world class surf breaks. Rincon, Trestles, Banzai, Sunset and Jaws. Trish cut me off when I had suggested Mavericks and an alternative of Teahupo'o which has a bastardized American pronunciation of Cho-poo. From there, we just let their personalities and actions define their names, although I am partial to calling our kitten due for arrival in late August early September Nifty. Seems to go well with Chongo, although I don't believe the cats will be able to tell the difference between Pixie and Nifty which may be an issue.

A long time ago, our vet told me to hum your cats names as you would address them to get an idea on how they hear them. For instance two cats aren't going to be able to tell the difference between being named Jocko and Bongo because they are hearing the affliction in the syllables, not the consonants in use.

I love Z names too...I just typed in Z names on google and got a whole bunch. Its how I came up with Zeddie's future brother's name (obviously it needs a Z so it sounds good with Zeddie)

Welcome to the forums! Great looking Savannah you have there. I am curious about how your pets interacted with each other when you first got them because I would like to have a dog in the future. How is your new Savannah getting along with the other animals? Have they adjusted yet?

We do not have the Savannah yet. The Boerboel has been around cats since we got him at 7 weeks and the cats we have now have been around the dogs since we got them at around 3 months. The kitten we are getting is supposed to be socialized around dogs and other cats, so I hope it will be an easy transition for him.

So we have decided to go ahead and have Zubi shipped since September is soooo far away :). Hopefully he'll be here next week sometime. It can't be soon enough...I need some pest control. Just had a 2+ inch spider crawl across the floor while nursing my baby!
Here's another pic
