Hi. :)

Ashley

Savannah Super Cat
Hi. My name is Ashley. I have a significant other, Glenn & together we have a 4 year old son and are new, proud owners to our F4 Savannah kitten, Kovu.

We love, love, love the Savannah breed. We did tons of research, spent hours looking at different kittens, different breeders, ect. Finally, two years after discovering the breed we ended up finding our perfect kitten from Moon Heart Cats, in North Carolina. Kovu & his brothers were actually the first litter this family had ever had. So it was a nice, wonderful first time experience for both of us.

So far we have lucked out with Kovu. He doesn't take interest in destroying toilet paper or plastic bags. He doesn't try to dart out the door. I think that our constant Washington rain is to blame for that tho. He doesn't go crazy over baths, he doesn't particularly enjoy it, but he isn't clawing at me trying to get out either. He did however chew up & destroy a pair of my Bose headphones. :( But really, I couldn't have asked for a better kitten.

He is extremely intelligent, gets along well with our four year old (puts up with him VERY well), and as long as its not raining, loves to be out on his harness. e.jpg
This poor fishy toy has been through so much, but Kovu just loves it.

I just love his "freckles" on his paws.

What a sweetheart! He is adorable. Welcome Ashley and Kovu :) The K names seem to be popular with a lot of Savannahs on here too. My sister and I are in Washington also, I wish it didn't rain as much and maybe this spring/summer we can all start going on walks more and more often!

I had originally wanted to name him Mufasa (from Lion King 1), but Glenn & Elijah didn't like it too much. But I wanted him to have a "lion" name, so we named him Kovu from Lion King 2. If you dont mind my asking, where at in Washington are you? It'd be nice to meet others with Savannah cats as well. Kovu is like a second child to us, I think our friends are pretty much over it. haha

No, I totally don't mind. I used to be the same way but after getting Keljin I have been becoming more and more fascinated with the breed lol. I am in Everett, where are you at?

Lakewood. I want to move so badly. lol Our neighborhood is really going down hill. Apparently living right off base wasn't the best idea. Washington is beautiful, but I'm ready for our next duty station. We've been up here since 07.

Welcome Ashley & Kovu! Kovu is a very handsome fellow indeed! He has wonderful spots. I like his coloring too. Also those little freckles all the way down his front paws are wonderful, especially for his generation. He looks like quite the sturdy boy! :) Also saw the pic of your son with him, he's a cutie as well from what you can see of him. :)

lol Thanks, I love his freckles! The breeder we got him from had 2 males. But I chose Kovu specifically because of the freckles, his brother didn't have them. And Elijah is a cutie.. a handful, but a cutie. :)
