When Kevin picked up Eddie @ INDY a lady asked if he didn't have anything better to waste his money on... he told her "There is a Paratrooper at Fort Bragg Wounded Warrior Unit waiting to hear from his mother, the kittens owner, & if that's what he chose to buy her after she drove 13 hours to reach him in ICU, after she worked all day who are you to complain about it". OF COURSE THE LADY APOLOGIZED BUT IT DIDN'T MAKE HIM FEEL BETTER...they had an attendant @ INDY escorted Eddie to the car .

I really have a problem with a lot of people. I think we should begin new friendships with the phrase, "Do you like Savannah cats and think they are worth their weight in gold?" If they say "no" then say "Bye Bye."

Omg! What a wonderful gift I'm glad the lady apologized, but people shouldn't judge! That's awesome that Eddie got escorted though

I learned awhile ago not every question asked is deserving of an answer or response. How much I paid for my cats is one of those questions! I will say words don't adequately convey what it feels like to have a savannah bonded to you. I know it sounds like fluff and crazy talk to those who don't have them, but it is different. I love cats, all cats. I am a cat person, no doubt. But these guys are cats plus plus. They are funny, they are never aloof, they want to be with you wherever you go (okay, so the need to go potty with you least you disappear down the toilet if they are not there to save you may be a tad overboard), they are so excited when you come back home. Just wait, you will talk about them non stop, because everything they do is hysterical. Except use the blinds as Tarzan swings, but they say sorry every single time they do it and how can you be mad at big piles of spotted purring fur?

I usually say that they cost about the same as a vacation but I get to keep the cat for 15-20 years so really more of a bargain!

It's annoying that the same people that think you paid too much for a mere cat will expend more than the minimum amount on their car for example, or their house, or even their handbag. We all choose where to spend our money and what an item is worth to us.

But I never hear someone after they get their Savannah kitten ever regretting the amount...once you have your baby you will think she is absolutely worth every penny and more. That makes it easier to bear the criticism
