How to Keep an F2 Calm?

Yeah, ha ha, I know...
My little girl was spayed yesterday and has a glued incision. She rested and snuggled for about 7 or 8 hours since coming home today and now wants to tear around going wild. I am trying to get her to play quietly but she's feeling pretty good and wants to have at it. Any suggestions? My little F3 boy was neutered and he's quite calm. Keeping them separated for now.

Put her in a room where you can remove anything higher than 2-3 feet for her jump on and off of. Play with her on the floor and try to tire her out or just keep an eye on her and let her rip. The good news is that it won't take long for her to heal to the point where you won't have to worry about it. Or you can ask the vet for the cone of shame to try to slow her down if you're really worried. The hyperactivity could be a reaction to the anesthesia. She may be calmer over the next few days.

Rafiki's incision was glued and no matter how much she licked and bit at it, it stayed completely intact. She was spayed only a day or two before I got her. I was very impressed with the medical adhesive instead of stitches.

Thanks Witchy and Rafiki. I have them in separate bedrooms and both hollering for me running back and forth. I've never spayed or neutered at this age before only younger and a single cat at a time.

I have found it easier and more efficacious to self-medicate in these situations and let the cats do what they will
