Idea for showcasing savannah kittens/savannah cats

Scott, I really like the way they did this...thanks for sharing!

You're very welcome, glad it was helpful :)

Just random. Pick one with an interesting story or owner. Ensure it is an active member or else it will be wasted!
Trish, I totally agree and Paige can provide us with an email address for people to give submissions to. Their submission doesn't have to be super lengthy, in fact submissions should probably be kept short so Paige doesn't have to read through 50 pages of submissions every month as that could get tiring after a while. She still wants to have a life I'd imagine lol But submissions could be a quick rundown of their SV, how it became acquired, who the breeders were, it's personality and share a quick funny story or two of their antics. What kind of food/litter they use, any special features they've built into their house specifically for their sv's etc. pix and or vids, who or what they share the household with and any tricks they may have learned if any or if they're harness trained etc. Just something real quick that she can use to help decide. Then when a particular SV is picked, she can contact the owner and learn more about it and write up a decent sized "Spotlight" which goes into more detail than the original submission. Also, if she wanted to down the road (totally optional), she could even approach companies to Sponsor the "Savannah Spotlight" and have the Savannah of the month receive something like a $25 gift card to Petco or Petsmart etc. This would be great for the advertiser for obvious reasons, and great for the winner of that month. Also, great for Paige, because she'd be rewarded for her efforts :)

Scott, I like your thinking!! What I could do for the Savannah Spotlight is create pages, instead of a forum submission. Similar to the Breeder Testimonial page...although that would be a bit more work for me...scratch that idea - LOL!!!

Good thinking...and since we are already being approached by companies who want to advertise, I'm sure we would not have a problem getting a sponsor.

On another forum I am on, every member has their own folder which other members can see by clicking on the user's name. Each member has a storage capacity so you can't overload with too many pictures. It works very well!

This way if people are interested in seeing particular pictures of someone's SV, they can go directly to that person's album.

As for our SVs growing up, another forum has one called something like this: "Kitten to Adult in 10 photos" where you are allowed to post a maximum of 10 pictures of your pet from a baby to adult.

Hi All,

So I am watching our forum members post pics and vids of their awesome kittens and cats...I would like to create a special forum, where each of you would have a thread for your own savannah cat or savannah kitten...we could then watch them grow, see them change, etc.

What do you think? Is anyone interested?
It will be very interesting and useful for all!

No folder thing for here - sorry about that.

I like the kitten to adult...I think we are set for now with Savannah Spotlight...I will figure out what to do about each member having their own little forum ;)
