I'm pretty sure this is a scam :(

I replied to this craigslist ad http://cleveland.craigslist.org/pet/3337113660.html The reply I got was almost the same as yours, and included very nice pics of 2 savannhs. She claimed to be in newark DE for treatment.
I was interested and felt sorry for her as my niece has cancer, and family members and friends have died from the same. So I sent a link from John Hopkins, some reasurance and as she seemed concerned as to what type of person would be buying them, offered that info. Nothing that a scammer could use though.
Anyway after no replies after numerous other emails I looked into it some, and this post is some of what I came across.
The details link at top of email showed the sender to be gina mcconnel, ginamc7212@yahoo.com.
I found this website with that address http://www.salespider.com/c-21731334/lovely-tica-registered-savannah-kittens-for-adopti
Then I found pics with same wall finish at this website http://www.asnclassifieds.com/illinois/chicago/pets/cats/d74-b64.html
I figured Chigago based, but there was a mcconnel in ID so who knows.
Thing is I left CL listing up instead of flagging it, I did take a screenshoot of that and those sites, but I want them in jail.
So untill I get ahold of law enforcement I left it up.
I think the pics you had were bottom of that page maybe. She (they? he?) sent me very good pics.
Do you know the name of sender in the "details" of the email she replied to you with?, Thank you, Mickey

What about the name of sender , I have that as stated above. I wonder if they knew I could get that from email details,
Don't assume you have the name of the sender. It is common and somewhat easy to hijack email accounts of unsuspecting people. This hides the scammer.
I also suspect the scammers are not even in the country. This is why they use a "local name" to reduce suspicion. I really suspect the source is out of the country, making it very hard for prosecution.

Welcome, Mickey!

Are you interested in getting a Savannah? This is a great resource, with reputable breeders and awesome pet owners here :)

Thank you for sharing the scam...unfortunately it's a common scenario these days.

What is your Bengal's name? Share a pic or two...we would love to see them!
