I spay/neuter at least 12 weeks and three pounds. I will not release an unaltered kitten to a pet home.

The kitten has to be at least 12 weeks in order to have had two sets of shots BEFORE going in to be spayed (I don't want to risk exposing MY kittens to something floating around although that's probably just being overcautious) and three pounds is my safety point regarding weight. Our vet would alter at 2 pounds, but I think 3 is more preferable (for me- it's just for my peace of mind).

I don't think that should be a haggling point if you feel everything else is great in your relationship with your breeder, however, if there are other issues at hand, then I'd probably look elsewhere.

And they feed their cats such junk kibble and homestyle chicken from science diet, I forget name. I took mine off right away. He had bad gas from it. Only eats raw :)

And mine from A1 had ringworm. Thanks for the expensive ringworm A1. They never even checked on their kitty. I won't buy from A1 again. Hopefully you don't have any issues with ur new kitty from A1.

How long ago did you get your kitty? What age? I'm very curious if you had any other issues

I have him for two mo. Shipped to me from Oklahoma. I wished I knew breeders on here. I would have bought from somewhere different. He is a beauty but I got the ringworm as well as my little daughter and other cat. It was crazy, especially when I got all over my chest. Shame on me for buying a pet soo far away, sight unseen . I Hope He has NO other issues. I'll be bummed. I have already had expensive vet bills. Poor guy had to have special med for his weight compounded cause so small for pill.

And they never even checked up on him. I signed for him at airport and never heard anything from a1 which is weird.

There is a long thread about two kitties purchased from a bigger breeder (can't remember which breeder) and it concerns ringworm and the treatment and joy of treating for it... It's worth a search and read if you've never seen it on here.

Mine came with Ringworm as well almost a year ago. I'll stick to breeders on this forum and known associates from now on.

Wow, that's real encouraging. I've already purchased the kitten. I can't believe this. I had read that they are a reputable breeder. I will be driving to pick her up as I live in Arkansas. I'm about a 6 hr drive from the breeder.
