Individual play time

My large F2 Maliik and my teeny bean of an F6 Taji play together with feather wands and laser lights. When Maliik first started interacting with Taji, Maliik would hog the wand simply because he was so much larger. After a few times playing together though, they worked out a system between them and they each take their turns chasing the feather while the other sits patiently watching. At some signal that I can't perceive, they switch places. I was relieved about that because I really didn't want to have to schedule individual play dates with 3 cats. Juba will not play with toys with the other two. He likes to play my himself.

But when it comes to mommy time that's a whole other thing. Each one needs his alone time with me and I think they count the cuddle minutes to be sure there is equal distribution.

My thinking exactly I will have 4 cats when all said and done and would prefer not to have to schedule individual play time. Though will work out something if I have to. As for personal time, my cats are that way too, counting the minutes ... And don't get me started with my "attention hound" lol

We are getting two Savannahs and have bought them their own toys and wands etc just in case one decides to hog the toys, we can still play together at the same time.

I use two wands simultaneously occasionally which is a sight to behold because I am one of the least coordinated people on the planet. Imagine a symphony conductor on crack:big grin: I think I scare the cats.

My cats each like a different kind of toy, so I have to rotate the toys so they each play with their favorites. Chuju, however, will only play if none of the others are around. He is the "princess" of the household :roflmao:

All 6 of mine will play together, when one gets in the way though it turns into a batting war, but i try and give each individual attention when they are in the group. They usually are pretty good at taking turns except for tegra, shes the queen bee haha
