Introducing adult neutered males

Looks like a pretty successful introduction to me! My cats adore each other and I have to feed them apart!

Thanks! They generally eat off of kitty plates just all my dishes were dirty. Lol! I like those pedastal dishes though, I bet those are better because they don't have to bend down so far.

I love the pedestal ceramic bowls - I have four of them and the cats love them...

We are coming up on 3 weeks. Things are about the same. Patience is key here. Very key. They still don't interact much at all during community time and kind of have found their own spots in the community area. Wiggles still spends a few hours a day in his room and at night. Jengo is still living up high, that was never unusual for him anyway but he rarely gets on the ground and if he does he gets chased. They feed together nicely - mostly anyway...there have been a few bites given to Wiggles if he gets in Jengo's way, nothing major I don't imagine as Wiggles hasn't cried, been in pain or even had a mark. The vet keeps saying its normal for them to do this. I shouldn't intervene unless there is growling, crying or blood. Wiggles just let's him do it to him. Like I said it appears to be warning baby bites. Wiggles isn't afraid of him that's for sure.

Jengo has learned to ignore Wiggles much of the time too. I've been working with play with both of them. Jengo gets so excited that he will jump down and get into playing with a wand. Last night Jengo made his way to,the kitchen chairs and sat in them under the table, so that's closer to the ground, right? Lol.

I've long stopped expecting anything from them and its much, much better, they batted each other night but I suspect it may have been play since no one ran away.

Wiggles identifies his room now and when he's tired he goes to bed. It's very cute.

Jengo is a slow one to win over. He only bonded with me because he had to. He's made it clear he's a bit of a loner who likes to be in the mix of things but off to the sides. It's going to take lots of time and supervision. Meanwhile, lots of sniffing going between the two of them and I even hugged them both yesterday at the same time :)

They both follows me around like crazy, where I am they need to be too. They both talk incessantly at me. I was petting Jengo on his fridge spot the other day and Wiggles jumped up to join without any fighting and both got pets.

Boyfriend adores Wiggles in ways he couldn't with Jengo because Wiggles is much more social. Wiggles is also a little more self sufficient and confident. He carried plastic food plates into my bedroom the other morning, it was hilarious. He will get into food if its not put away and he is happy to play with others or by himself. He is happy to meet new people or see the same ones again. He likes to run around and stick his head in shoes. He's very entertaining. He puts on a show every day.

It sounds like you have set your expectations well, and I think eventually patience will have its rewards. Wiggles sounds like quite the character, I love those Savannahs who love to give us a new show every day!

Sometimes you need lots of patience. KIlifi and Azidi are prime examples. SLow Slow Slow. but coming along.
