I was going to have Jax done right away but my vet said that it could cause problems later with uti's. Soooo,,,,,,,,we're going to trust him and wait till he's 6 months old. He did say that if he started to spray or do any of the other hormonal things,,,,,we will push it up. I wish it was already done myself.
That's interesting, I've not heard that before. In fact, a study by the Winn Foundation found no difference between early speuter and later speuter in pretty much every area looked at: http://www.cfainc.org/CatCare/SpayNeuter/EarlySpayNeuter.aspx

Eddies

Eddies a ham!
There's a whole thread on the neuter thread somewhere, bottom line everyone has a different opinionbarefoot, I had Eddie "done" right on time according to my vet:penguin:...not because of the contract:Geeky: but because he was annoying the other cats:uh oh::cautious:....nope it didn't change his behavior:ninja: for more than the 3 days:confused: it took to heal. So he still annoys them:offended::wtf:, maybe even more so:rolleyes:....Mojo is the ONLY one here who can "put him in his place" but not for very long & Eddie's back to "Ninja Stealth Bombs':ninja:...jumping from floor to top of fridge:ninja: to top of Mojo....:ninja:stalking the other kitties (while they eat, sleep, play,....). He also comes running:Geeky: when I walk into the room,:in love: talks to me for a good 5 minutes when I get home from work, wants to know :pif what is on my plate is for him, helps me wash dishes (after we make lots of bubbles, he adores bubbles)...The only "safe zone" was taught to Eddie:ninja: in a lesson from Mojo:offended: I'm absolutely certain will not have to be repeated....:offended:no playing in the litter box. Mojos :cool:answer came last month...he patiently waited for Eddie on the fridge....poor innocent Eddie:eek: flew off the fridge, across the kitchen sideways on the wall:lol:, into the living room:p, & under the table:roflmao:. Now Mojo:big grin: regularly ninja bombs Eddie! Tigger:cat: the Bengal...well sometimes he hides :(from all the "activity" & sometimes he gets right in the middle of it;). Your little prince will get those girls moving & entertain you constantly, just when your ready to say "Ugh, enough already"... he'll snuggle right back into your heart & theirs:in love:.

Speaking of which. ONE week. 7 days. It's gonna be sweet. I know Regie will settle in quickly. He is active and friendly enough to bond quickly. MUST keep him away from the girls for a reasonable time so he and I become close buddies. I understand how he would want to bond with the girls over me. They are prettier. And probably more energetic.

I week from tonight I should be trying to sooth a new little kitten's displacement syndrome. Hoping Regie transitions quickly to me and his new life with me and the girls.

Cary, I also hate to wait ,Casey's breeder said at 12 weeks we will take him to you in Ohio , at 11 weeks I told the breeder that I would meet them at the Mi. border so we set a time and place , Casey was in a nice cage with food and water , litter box, toys and a bed, the kitten hissed at me at first and Steve our breeder's husband ,nice guy ,got him in my carrier , the kitten was very stressed and I got him home as fast as I could and in his room ,a vacant bedroom with a new cat tree , wet and dry food , new litter box toys and cat bed and gave him space , and after a few minutes he wanted to be friends ,purrs big time, after quarantine Casey met Cody our F3 monster , it went very well, later that day I let Casey outside after seeing our male cat would not hurt Casey, Casey soon fell in the pond, he's ok, new cats sometimes fit in fast, F2 male Casey kitten took my wife by storm , she did not know I got him until a day before pickup, she now spoils him so bad.

Heh heh Sweet. I have met little Regie. He seems ok with me...at least while Patti is here. I am confident he will jump right into the life here. Even his kitty mom likes me. SO, I am just being overly worried. LOL

It will probably take some time for him to settle in... once he realizes he's not going home with me it will be a different story. But I think he will eat up the attention so I have no doubt he will do just fine
