And we are having fun. I was just in with him and he walks all over me and wrestles and plays then collapses in exhaustion. If I try to get up, he meows at me. On my next days off, I will sleep with him.

Ok. This AM, Regie was really very adament about darting out the door of his room. SO, I thought I would let him see what was waiting on the other side. I picked him up, opened the door and held him down close to the waiting Kilifi. He looked at her ( almost spellbound ) and she looked at him. She meowed a few times, a couple of them were " firm" meows, but NOTHING really threatening. Both of them had noses that were sniffing like crazy the whole time. When I put him back in his room, he still wanted to dart out, so it was ineffective for the intended purpose. But I did get a sense of how the acceptance is coming. He is gonna have a hard time waiting another week and 2 days. LOL

Hmmm. Held Regie up to Kilifi again, and she smelled his nose and talked to him sweetly. He was good till she actually touched his nose with hers, and then he spit and she pulled back. BUT DID NOT REACT. I think she is gonna be easy. He will be the toughest, and he won't be that bad.
She thought she was in trouble, but I told her she was a good girl and praised her and she head butted me.

While I was taking Regie's food in last evening, he blind sided me and darted out the door. By the time I set the food down to catch him, he had made it all the way to the living room. I was able to catch him before he went into places I could not go. In the meantime, Kilifi is sitting on the passthrough between the living room and kitchen, looking at me like as if to say ... Ahhh..what is dat??? A rat in my space...get it..get it ..get it. She did not jump down or attack or even move. What a good girl. When I took him back into his room, he complained and did not want to go back in.
He is ready to come out of the room. But I am gonna do the whole 2 weeks...
This AM when I went in to say good morning, he again was all over me loving and licking and wanting to play. He has this thing about my ears. Wants to wash them and chew on them. And my face too.
I am STILL amazed at how loud he purrs, and how easy he does. I look at him, he purrs. I touch him, he purrs. I speak to him, he purrs. Just a sweet little fella.
He is ready to come out of the room. But I am gonna do the whole 2 weeks...
