Introduction: Kat and Shawn with Master and Margo

Hi everyone! It's nice to find a forum about savannahs, finally. Me (Kat) and my husband (Shawn) have bought 2 F2s about a year and a half ago. They are from the same litter. At first we were looking at F3s, which were in our price range, but after doing some research we decided to get an F2. We were waiting for Master to get to his 12 week mark to pick him up, when we saw his sister's pics on breeder's web-site. She was so gorgeous that we gave in and bought her too. We figured it will be better for Master to have a play-mate too, while we are at work. Margo is very tall, long-legged and is about 18lbs, when Master is a bit shorter, but more muscular looking. They eat raw chicken, shrimp and sometimes tuna. I have yet to find any dry food that they'd eat, not that I want them to too much. They are very healthy and we only had to see a vet for Master's allergies, which is a whole different story.
Well, that's all for now :)

Oh yes, very bonded, I take them outside for a walk, taking turns. If I take Margo first, Master sits outside the patio door watching us and as soon as we go around the corner where he can't see us he starts an Opera singing! So loud that Margo feels like he is in danger and wants to go back home!

Thank you! And me too, very glad to be here! It's just so rare to see people that would understand what it means when your cats ARE your kids. I'm getting addicted, have been reading for the past 2 hours and learning a lot

Well, my cats are my NEW kids! My own children are grown up, with kids of their own, and my fiance has never had children. Honestly, if someone ever overheard us talk about the cats as if they were our children, I'd die lol! We even call each other to tell what so and so did that day....:)

Addiction? Yes! Sorry...there's no cure ;) If there is, I want no part of it!

That's funny, because my co-workers ask me all the time: did your cats do anything funny lately? And I'd tell them stories. I must say though, I've had dogs and cats before, but savannahs are rather something. They are loyal and smart like dogs, ...next I was gonna say "gracious as cats", but never mind, they are knocking everything over if it's on their way. They are just different.
