Thank you Ellen. I will tell them what you said. ;)
When I lost all of my old domestics due to old age except for one, Merlin, I got Kilifi my first Savannah, to be a friend for Merlin. They bonded and all was fine for a month and a half, til Merlin passed. Then Kilifi was devistated. She would walk the hallway crying...Real tears.
I quickly got Azidi as a friend for her. BUT, Azidi never really warmed up to Kilifi. But the presence of another Savannah behind a door, gave Kilifi enough company that she was happy. AFter a while, as Azidi began to warm up to me, I began feeling that a male kitten might help the situation with the girls and would definately be a plus for Kilifi, who by now was beginning to get a little soft and lazy.
SO, I got Regie, and within a week he wanted out of quarentine so bad he would wait for me to come in the room and dart out. As much as I tried to keep him in, he would manage to dart out. After a few days, I decided it was futile to try to keep him in the quarentine room. I let him out and he and Kilifi became immediate friends. They are now like big sister and little brother and are always together. They are both happy and Kilifi is getting tough again.
It has even helped Azidi become more open and friendly. I forsee a time not too far down the road where all three will be in a peaceful life.
There are threads about my trials with Azidi and Kilifi before Regie came to us. Can be some frustration reading... :)
FYI, all three of my furbabies are from Patti at Jasirisana Savannahs, wonderful lady that she is. :)

Welcome, Ellen! Glad you found us and please ask as many questions as you need to...

I have taught one or more of my savannahs to run agility courses and it is so much fun! They love learning new things and I bet you could have a blast teaching your savannah(s) to run the courses...

Thank you for sharing.....I'm glad Kilifi now has some friends. How devastating for her. I have never witnessed that , but I swear I have seen my dogs cry silently and it still amazes me that people think that animals are dumb beings. My ex would always kid me about talking to my animals and answering for them and joke about it. I really feel for the most part if you are in tune with your critters, you are truly one with them and you know what they are thinking, feeling, basically saying, body language, whatever you want to call it. Critics can laugh all they want. Ofcourse we know, as they know we are having a bad or good day, feel rushed or feel happiness! I have met a gal , Pam Flachs, who is so very nice and is mentoring me. We talk on the phone and IM and maybe I will meet her this week end. She is even willing to do payments with me, as we are so very similar and have hit it off, but, I am afraid at this time, with winter coming up , as badly as I want a cat, to take on any payments, so I am just starting to save my money. I want one sooo bad....I really believe I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder when it comes to animals....lol....Well, and with that in mind...gonna go to bed, hunker down for the night and snuggle in with everyone. Lets keep in touch and let me know how your babies are doing! I will also look at your friends' website....Take care!

Yes Pam is a darling. She is a good forum and facebook friend. You are lucky to be close enough to meet and get one of her kittens. Patti is here in Az and is here on Savannah chat too.
I have an Animal Communicator who was working with my kids and she is giving me tips on how to hear my babies. It seems to be working. There is also one here on the forum, Kristin, a lovely soul in greater Ottawa, Canada Her tiips are helping me open to the "other realm" too.
Good Luck with your new Savannah when you get him/her. They are soo much fun and love and can be so naughty. BUT, ya can't help loving them. :)

I have talked with Patti also, but to have her babies shipped I felt wasn't an option and I'm sure she proabably felt the same way....In July 2015 I have to judge a dog show in Ottawa, so if I have enough time, maybe I can meet Kristin! I love my spynx...he is so darn funny and is a brat also and I so look forward to another trouble maker and the stories unfolding. I love watching "Mr. Tibbs" attack my dogs or get in the chase around and around the couch and then the dogs continue and he jumps up and watches them and swats them as the go bye...too funny...yes, this is the good part of my life.Well, waking up with my first capachinno then out to practice some agility in the 20 degree weather with my aussie puppy. Talk about naughty! If you don't give her a job, she finds one and usually not a good one! lol Have a great week end!
