Fingers crossed. Many of the European judges are not Savannah fans, one even told me he didn't think that we should have made Championship class and would never final one :( ......... but we all enjoy a challenge :D

This is one of several reasons I have no interest in getting into showing animals. Too many twits that think judging allows them to impose their bias, instead of performing the duties fairly.

I salute those who go to this kind of effort. It is the snooty attitudes of some judges that I dislike.

Shows should be for fun, networking, and the betterment of the breed, with fun for the animals being the biggest part.

I am thinking about a way we can do our own SVCC show from the comfort of our homes. When the details comr to me I will start a new thread so as not to clutter this one.

Cat shows in general are fun and friendly, I find most of the judges here are pretty nice and not snooty. I've heard CFA is very different though, but having come into the cat fancy via Savannahs I've never dealt with them!

In any group of people you meet, some you will like and some you don't... we just learn to ignore those we don't appreciate and concentrate on those we enjoy :) There's been at least one judge over the years that I found so anti-Savannah that I just didn't take my cat to her ring for a couple years. Now she's exceedingly cloyingly nice about them... guess she got over whatever problem she had.

This is true, although the NE seems to be a bit different than the West Coast...just sayin' - there is no doubt in my mind that shows are political and sometimes it is who you know not what a great cat you have...but that is the way of the world...as long as I have fun, I will continue...when it is no longer fun, I will stop.
