Jumping up walls.

So my cat started jumping up the walls a while ago and hes doing it more often. To describe it best is that he goes to the wall area and jumps up, and of course shes scratching all the paint and wall. No reason as to why he does this, he has his trees and lots of to climb. Any suggestions on how to get him to stop. thanks

My F2 male does this. It appears he is trying to grab something he sees on the wall. Sometimes a bug, sometimes a speck of dirt, sometimes a ghost Good to know mine is not the only one who does this. Not sure of any way to curtail the behavior. At least I have not found one. Scratched walls are part of life with Savannahs.

Oh I know scratched walls are part of life lol, but Im still going to try and curtail this behaviour. He can climb tons of stuff, why the walls lol
Good to hear its not just mine either. He doesnt seem to see anything, he just starts bolting down the hallway or wherever then gets a jump start up the wall.

We call this game "Can you jump this high?"
Now when we see her looking at the walls with her head doing the Savannah snake head motion, we grab a toy for her to jump up and catch. Fortunately Rafiki retracts her claws for this game.

We think Sasha is inspired by Spider-Man. He chirps and tries to scale walls, closet mirrors, everything ESP at 3am !

I don't think I have enough blank wall space for the cats to jump up on, but they do love jumping up the hutch on my computer desk - it now bears vertical 'stripes' on the cupboard doors...

jumping up walls??? :roflmao: most my fur kids view walls as just another surface to bounce off of, run on, great for change of direction and attacking ones pursier on the rebound. They are wall walkers fur sure.

When any of my gang are doing something they shouldn't, I'll furst say NO!! If they ignore this, I'll throw something that they will chase, and distract them from what they were doing. If that doesn't work, I'll throw a few ice cubes on the floor. That always works. :roflmao:
