So today he seems to be getting worse. Going to take him to a different vet. I am just so worried and I don't understand it.

Since he has been home he has urinated two times right next to the box. I don't understand this. He has never had a single accident. He is on antibiotics, not like if he had an infection it wouldn't be working. He had iv meds and is on 10 days of oral meds. They show his neu is high but said the meds will fix that. I am going somewhere else tomorrow.

Stacie….ask the new vet about food allergies and Inflammatory Bowel Disease. The usual way to test for allergies/IBD is to limit the cat's diet to a novel protein -- such as rabbit or duck -- for a month or so and see if the condition clears up. A biopsy can be performed to conclusively establish IBD and then a protocol is established to follow to get it under control. Best of luck getting a definitive diagnosis for your baby and I hope a treatment is found asap.

Deborah funny you mention that because I started reading that today. They had him on ID this last week for sick cats and he was eating a cat a day but that's not much for him. He is also losing weight. I can see it in him visually. Morning can not come fast enough. I am praying the cat hospital will get him in.

The said his protein level was a little high but only one point and that could just be food. Anyone know about this?

If they're talking protein in his urine, it could be diet or indicate a chronic infection or kidney inflammation. It's best not to speculate and get worried about something that may not be. Be sure that the new vet is thorough with the exam even if s/he runs the same tests as the old vet. Ask lots of questions so you feel at ease that all factors are being considered in the search for a diagnosis.

Yes definitely going to ask lots of questions and let them repeat tests. The protein that showed high was in the blood work.
